Meet Our Director
Hello! I am Valerie, Co-Director at Leap Academy. Children have always been my passion and the gift of working with children is something that has been an amazing journey for me. Over the last 15 years I have been in the education field in some way shape or form. I taught Pre-K 4, 1st Grade, and 3rd in Dallas, Tx, as well as at a local elementary school here in Madison. I have been in Madison my entire life and I have been blessed to be able to find my rhythm in the education field.
I love being able to help families grow and give them a school that offers a home away from home feeling. Exploring the gifts that each child possesses and nurturing their interests, while teaching them new things, is the one of the reasons I love the childcare field. After graduating from LaFollette, I went on to obtain my Directors Certification from Arkansas Division of Childcare and Early Education. I am currently working on my administration degree through Madison Area Tech College.
I have four beautiful children 14 (son), and three girls (9,6,5), yes, I am a busy lady. My lovely husband is a local pastor here in Madison, so during my free time I love helping at the church, singing, and doing water sports. My love for music and fashion keeps a smile on my face. I look forward to getting to know you all and thank you for welcoming me to the Leap Family!
