Meet Our Director
Hello! I am Valerie, the Director at Leap Academy. Children have always been my passion, and the opportunity to work with them has been an incredibly rewarding journey. Over the past 15 years, I have been involved in the education field in a variety of roles. I have taught Pre-K 4, 1st Grade, and 3rd Grade in Dallas, TX, as well as at a local elementary school here in Madison. Having lived in Madison my entire life, I feel fortunate to have found my rhythm and purpose in education within this community.
I truly enjoy supporting families and creating a school environment that feels like a home away from home. Exploring each child’s unique gifts, nurturing their interests, and guiding them as they learn and grow are some of the many reasons I am so passionate about the childcare field. After graduating from La Follette High School, I went on to earn my Director’s Certification through the Arkansas Division of Childcare and Early Education. I am currently pursuing my administration degree at UW Platteville.
I have four beautiful children who keep me very busy and bring so much joy to my life. In my free time, I enjoy helping at my church, singing, and spending time doing water activities. My love for music and fashion always keeps a smile on my face.
